Willie's political career takes flame because of a local school fire drill. While treasurer he fought for new schooling contract to go to an honest trustworthy company. However the corrupt people over him in power voted against it. They went with a cheaper less reliable company in order to receive a kickback and save supplies and money. This cheap company did a poor job though, and one day during a routine fire drill the fire escape collapsed killing three kids. This created an uproar in the public, and the "savior" of the people now became Willie. His reputation skyrocketed, and this marked the true beginning of his career. Even though his first run for governor was a sham, he would eventually reach his goal. This was all sparked by the fire alarm.
